UK Pre-Order and Subscription Policy
This policy applies to pre-orders and product subscriptions delivered to the United Kingdom. It should be read together with our Returns and Refunds Policy and Shipping Policy.
Pre-Orders
How Pre-Orders Work
A pre-order allows you to reserve a product that is not currently available for immediate shipment. The product page will identify the item as a pre-order and provide an estimated availability or dispatch date where possible.
Estimated dates are not guaranteed and may change because of production, supplier, customs, or transportation delays.
Pre-Order Payments
Depending on the product, we may collect:
- No payment when the pre-order is placed
- A partial deposit followed by the remaining balance
- Full payment at checkout
The amount due, payment schedule, and timing of any future charge will be shown before you complete the order. By placing the pre-order, you authorize the payment method provided at checkout to be charged according to the disclosed payment schedule.
The confirmed price will not be increased without your agreement.
Delays and Availability
We will notify you if we become aware of a significant change to the estimated availability date. You may cancel the pre-order for a full refund of any amount paid if you do not wish to wait.
If we cannot supply the product, we will cancel the pre-order and refund all payments made to the original payment method.
Cancelling a Pre-Order
You may cancel an eligible pre-order before it is dispatched by contacting us or using any cancellation option available in your customer account.
Once an order has been dispatched, we may be unable to stop the shipment. However, your applicable cancellation and return rights will continue after delivery. Eligible products may be returned in accordance with our Returns and Refunds Policy.
Refunds for pre-orders cancelled before dispatch will be issued to the original payment method without undue delay and within 14 days.
Product Subscriptions
How Subscriptions Work
A subscription provides recurring deliveries at the frequency selected during checkout. Unless a minimum term is clearly stated before purchase, subscriptions continue until cancelled.
Before completing your order, you will be shown:
- The subscribed product and quantity
- The delivery and billing frequency
- The price charged during each billing period
- Applicable shipping charges and taxes
- Any introductory discount and when it ends
- Any minimum commitment
- How and when the subscription can be cancelled
By purchasing a subscription, you authorize us and our payment provider to charge your selected payment method for each scheduled order until the subscription is cancelled.
Subscription Renewals and Payments
Each subscription order will be charged according to the billing schedule selected at checkout. Any introductory or promotional price applies only for the period disclosed when you subscribe. The regular recurring price will apply afterward.
If a payment cannot be processed, we may retry the payment and contact you to update your payment information. The affected shipment may be delayed or cancelled if payment remains unsuccessful.
Managing or Cancelling a Subscription
You can manage or cancel your subscription through your customer account or by contacting our customer service team.
Unless a minimum term was clearly disclosed before purchase, you may cancel at any time. Cancellation must be completed before the next scheduled payment to prevent the next order from being processed.
Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals. It does not automatically cancel or refund an order that has already been processed or dispatched. Eligible processed orders may be returned under our Returns and Refunds Policy.
We will acknowledge your cancellation and confirm when the subscription will end.
Price or Subscription Changes
We will provide reasonable advance notice of material changes to the subscription price, billing frequency, or other important terms. You may cancel before the change takes effect.
We will not substitute a materially different product without your consent. If a subscribed product becomes unavailable, we may delay or skip the affected shipment, offer an alternative for your approval, or cancel and refund that order.
Cooling-Off and Return Rights
For subscriptions involving recurring deliveries of goods, you generally have a 14-day cancellation period beginning the day after you receive the first delivery. After notifying us, returnable products must be sent back within 14 days.
Customers are responsible for change-of-mind return shipping costs when disclosed before purchase. RC Pit Lane will cover reasonable return costs for products that are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied, or not as described.
Any additional cooling-off or renewal rights provided by applicable UK law will also apply.
Subscription Notices
We will provide the confirmations, payment information, renewal reminders, cooling-off notices, and cancellation confirmations required by applicable law. Notices will be sent using the contact information associated with your account.
You are responsible for keeping your email address and other account information current.
Nothing in this policy limits or removes your statutory consumer rights.
